Big Week for Mystery/Thriller folks in NYC!

For fans, writers, and industry folks in the mystery/thriller business,  this is a huge week in NYC: Thrillerfest comes to town July 7-11 at the Grand Hyatt.  Check out the list of luminaries:

Nelson Demille, Mark Billingham, Charlaine Harris, Greg Isles, Scott Turow, Kathy Reichs, Karen Slaughter, Kate White, Jon Land, Sandra Brown, Clive Cussler, Chris Pavone,  R.L. Stine—the list goes on and on.

Speaking of R.L. Stine, a few years ago I volunteered at the check in desk for Thrillerfest. As I was assigned the “S” box, I got to hand R.L. Stine his registration badge—how cool is that!

The conference includes a  Master Craftfest,  an intensive all-day writing retreat, held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m..  According to the website the program is sold out.

The following day is Craftfest , a full day of opportunities for authors to hone their craft.

The program also includes Pitchfest, an opportunity for authors and agents to meet in an organized, frenetic  speed dating  set- up.  Many testimonials point to the success of this event.

For those interested in any aspect of the industry, this is the place to be this week.

And because all of these amazing folks are in town, other events benefit from their presence. So don’t forget to come down to the Mysterious Bookshop on Wed. July 8th  to celebrate the launch of Jenny Milchman’s new book: As Night Falls, with special guests  Catherine Coulter and  JT Ellison at The Mysterious Bookshop on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 @ 7:00 pm.

  1. Jenny’s story is inspiring for all writers, and would be writers, those who are published and those aspiring to be published.
